Summer Safety

At Spirit Mountain we pride ourselves in recreation opportunities for you to enjoy throughout the year!  We are very proud of the what our Bike Park has to offer as well as the attractions at the Adventure Park. Safety is the key to fun while you are at Spirit Mountain.  Ultimately, each person plays a part in the safety of our recreation area and you are a key role in helping us keep you safe.  

Direct communication to Patrol

Our dedicated and trained National Bike Patrol members can be reached during operating hours for a medical incident or if assistance is needed during your time at Spirit Mountain.

Liability Waiver

  • A liability waiver is required to be completed online once a season.
  • Anyone ages 17 and under must have a parent or guardian complete the waiver.
  • All summer waivers can be filled out online when purchasing tickets or at the ticket counter.

Adventure Park Rules

Rules to Ride Alpine Coaster

  1. All instructions from the operating staff and on signs must be strictly followed.
  2. You must be at least 54” tall to participate alone. 
  3. Front seat passengers must be over 38” tall and at least 3 years old. 
  4. For two-passenger operation, the rear-seat driver must be at least 16 years old and at least a head taller than the front-seat passenger. 
  5. The driver must keep both hands on the brake lever at all times. 
  6. The front passenger must keep both hands on the front handle at all times. 
  7. The driver and passenger must sit upright and keep feet inside the sled at all times. 
  8. The maximum combined weight of the driver and passenger cannot exceed 375 lbs. in dry weather and 330 lbs. in wet weather. 
  9. This is an exciting, high speed, high G-force, physically demanding attraction.  Participants must be in good health and have complete upper and lower body strength and control. 
  10. If you have a heart condition, back or neck injuries, experience vertigo, have an inner ear issue, have a fear of heights, or if you are pregnant or have any physical or mental condition that could possibly be aggravated, you must not participate. 
  11. If you have questions about this attraction or your ability to participate safely, please contact the operator.  If you have any doubt, no matter how slight, DO NOT participate. 
  12. By purchasing a ticket, you accept the conditions of use, and you participate at your own risk.  All claims for compensation are released and waived. 

Rules to Ride Zip Line Ride

  • You must be at least 48 inches tall and at least 8 years old to ride alone.
  • Riders under 48 inches tall or 8 years of age can ride with someone 16 years or older.
  • Riders must be at least 3 years old to ride.
  • Maximum combined weight limit per two-seat ride is 460 lbs. 
  • Observe all posted signs and guidelines and follow all instructions from staff.

Rules to Ride Scenic Chairlift

  • You must be at least 48 inches tall and at least 8 years old to ride alone.
  • Riders under 48 inches tall or 8 years of age can ride with someone 16 years or older.
  • Riders must be at least 3 years old to ride.
  • Riders must sit in their own seat; no lap sitting permitted.
  • Riders must unload the lift at both terminals, each ride.
  • Observe all posted signs and guidelines and follow all instructions from staff. Notify attendants if assistance is needed.

Rules to Utilize Jumping Pillow

  • You must be at least 2 years old to use the jumping pillow.
  • Shoes are prohibited on the pillow.
  • Use caution when wet. 
  • No jumping near edges.
  • No somersaults or inverted maneuvers.
  • No running or horseplay.
  • Observe all posted signs and guidelines and follow all instructions from staff.

Adventure Park Parking

We are located at 9540 West Skyline Parkway, Duluth, MN.  This is .5 miles past the main chalet entrance on the left.  

Parking is free, and we have a limited camper, RV, and trailer parking available on a first-come, first served basis.  

Sprung Building

The Sprung building is where you will purchase or pickup all tickets, souvenirs, etc.  We also have a concession stand and restrooms in this building.  

Important Information

All attractions are weather-dependent.  We do not allow any outside food or beverage, including alcohol,to be brought onto our property. Proper footwear that is secured to your feet is recommended.

Spectators

Bringing the whole family, with some folks coming to be the cheering section?  No worries! There is no additional fee to watch the action.  We have picnic tables throughout the Park and encourage you to bring your own lawn chair, too.  We have some great shaded areas that are just perfect for reading a favorite book, and you can’t beat some of the best views in Duluth! 

Bear Aware

The slopes of this resort are a forested environment. These slopes are home to many bears and other wildlife. Please use caution during your visit and obey the following:

-Keep a good distance from all bears 
-Do NOT feed the bears
-Make noise as you travel the area and terrain
-Try not to startle the bears
-Leave no trace of your visit (bring out what you brought in)
