Thank you for your interest in joining our team at Spirit Mountain!  Spirit Mountain is a year-round recreational area.  Although we are hiring year-round, the majority of our hiring is done around the end of October in preparation for the ski-season (December-March).  We do another smaller round of summer hiring around early June.

Most of our openings require weekend and holiday work.  Examples of jobs include: Café workers, cooks, bussers, bartenders, servers, rental attendants, ski/board instructors, lift operators, cashiers, security, snowmakers, bus drivers, coaster operators, and Adventure Park attendants.


Employee and Volunteer rate ski/ snowboard season passes are $16.18. If you have already purchased a pass, you will receive a refund upon being hired.


Guest Services Volunteers

Spirit Mountain Guest Service Volunteers are outgoing enthusiastic individuals who share a passion for the sport of skiing and/or snowboarding. Guest Service Volunteers should enjoy being with and helping people. Members of this program must also have excellent guest service skills, and be proactive in relating with people enjoy assisting visitors of Spirit Mountain.  Shifts worked are both inside and outside, and our Guest service Volunteers should have a thorough knowledge of Spirit Mountain, the City of Duluth, and the surrounding area.  The ability to ski/ride is not necessary. Spirit Mountain Ski Patrol Volunteers

To work at Spirit Mountain, you must have proof that you can legally work in the United States. Some jobs require a minimum age of 18 years. The pay range is $7.25 to $8.00 for most first year employees with some exceptions. All employees must have a Direct Deposit into a checking or savings account.
