History

Spirit Mountain is a ski and snowboard recreation area in Duluth, MN. We were built in 1974 and since then have increased our number of trails by 78% and have tripled the size of our Chalet.

In 2010 we expanded our recreation opportunities when we proudly built “Timber Twister”, the first Alpine Coaster in the Midwest!  In 2011 we added the "Timber Flyer" Zip Line, and a 9-hole Mini Golf Course, followed by a new Snow Tubing Park in December 2011.  This group of year-round recreation opportunities is known as the Spirit Mountain Adventure Park.   

Our Mission
In accordance with the enabling legislation that created Spirit Mountain Recreation Area in 1973, our Mission is to develop a wide range of quality, year-round recreational activities which encourage regional economic growth while conserving our environment.
